Peter Thompson

Peter Thompson has 30 years’ experience in coaching, mentoring, training and developing people at levels from students to Chief Executives in business, public sector and academic environments.

He is a personal demonstration of learning and adapting to changing work environments. His extensive background and unique combination of developed skills and talents qualify him as an invaluable coach for any organisation which values development and growth, particularly in an environment of change.

Peter now focuses on helping people, particularly senior executives and those who report to them, to use their brain in a generative and progressive manner so they meet the challenges of a changing work world and changing cultures, resulting in sustainable business and personal advances.

Experience

Because of his extensive experience of, and knowledge and training in, principles of learning, training, and framing, Peter is able to design training programs and development programs for people to use in business organisations. These programs are designed in such a way that they remain in the organisation in a generative manner – that is, they work, are practical and can continue to be used and by other trainers. In addition, Peter’s experience enables him to work at a more senior level, not only in designing and writing materials but also coaching others so that they can coach, design and write.

Many of the programs that Peter has designed and implemented have gone on to become the foundational training outlines and design for major corporate ongoing programs involving marketing, category management, customer service, call centre management, billing systems, presentation skills, advanced facilitation skills, emotional intelligence, and self management.

Overall

Peter demonstrates outstanding strength in consulting on complex issues, developing training and coaching programs to address those issues, training trainers, and writing.
